Membership Information

Membership is limited to jurors of the exhibition and juror's award winners (this does not include purchase awards) in the annual national competitive exhibition, "Watercolor U.S.A.". We have recently revamped our biennial conferences, and meet in Springfield in June. Our membership currently numbers around 200.

Watercolor U.S.A. takes place annually at the Springfield Art Museum, Springfield, MO and opens the first weekend of June. You can contact the museum to be placed on the prospectus mailing list as well as visit their website: www.springfieldmogov.org/egov/art
We hope that you will enter the next national competitive exhibition. Best wishes for success.

Submitting To The
WHS Website Gallery

Each WHS member artist is invited to submit two images of their most exciting artwork for inclusion in our Member's Gallery. In order to offset costs to our organization, WHS charges a $25 gallery fee to post or exchange images.

Step #1:
Each WHS artist member chooses two 35 mm slide images for WHS Gallery

Step #2:
On each slide write your name, title of the painting, size, medium or description of the piece.

Step #3:
Include a brief biography or artist statement and your personal e-mail and/or website link. WHS will be able to reciprocally link our WHS website with our members' personal websites.

Step #4:
Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of your slides.

Step #5:
Mail your two slides and information and SASE to

Option Step #6:
If you prefer, e-mail your information and images to

Send your two images as 800 x 600 pixel JPEG.

Option Step #7:
If the image is irregularly shaped, ensure the size of the file. The largest dimension needs to be less than 800 pixels (for example 800 x 500, 800 x 450, etc.)

Step #8:
Enclose a check for the amount of $15 made out to:
